Derbhil is a specialist adviser to the investment fund industry. She advises hedge funds and private equity funds in establishing, structuring and operating Cayman and Irish structures. Derbhil is a frequent speaker and contributor to publications on the impacts of on-shore regulation on off-shore jurisdictions, such as AIFMD in Cayman.

She is admitted to practice in the Cayman Islands, Ireland, England and Wales, and Northern Ireland.

  • On the establishment and authorisation of AIFMD-compliant investment funds, private equity and other funds.
  • On the establishment and authorisation of Cayman-domiciled funds including registered and exempted funds.
  • Exchange Traded Funds on their establishment on the London Stock Exchange, Borsa Italiana and Euronext Lisbon.
  • EU AIFMs on the establishment and maintenance of a Cayman Hedge Fund Platform for sale in and out of EU.
  • The Irish regulated custodians and trustees of UCITS and non-UCITS funds.
