Financial Regulation

Following the publication of the Central Bank of Ireland’s first Authorisations and Gatekeeping Report, Dillon Eustace is pleased to report that it advised 50% of all MiFID firms and 50% of all fund administrators licensed in Ireland during 2023 on their successful applications.

The new report sets out how the Central Bank of Ireland discharges and continues to refine its authorisation mandate by:

  • Providing information on the authorisation framework and risk appetite;

  • Explaining the Central Bank’s priorities and expectations of applicant firms;

  • Providing insight into the operation of the F&P regime; and

  • Outlining the key challenges experienced by firms seeking authorisation.
