Shona is a senior associate in our banking and capital markets team. She acts on a wide range of banking transactions for both financial institutions and corporates, both domestic and foreign, on an extensive range of banking law matters. Shona advises on various national and multi-jurisdictional transactions including construction and development finance, property finance and acquisition finance.
Shona’s representative transactions include advising:
- Deutsche Bank on its financing of the management buyout of Seniors Money and the subsequent securitisation of Seniors Money’s portfolio of equity release mortgages.
- Centric Health Group in relation to two large restructuring projects.
- Goldman Sachs Bank USA on its financing of Concordia Healthcare’s $3.5 billion acquisition of Amdipharm Mercury.
- The National Asset Management Agency (NAMA) on the sale of various loan portfolios, including Projects Emerald/Ruby and Gem.
- Allied Irish Banks, p.l.c. on numerous secured financing transactions –in a range of sectors, including maritime and residential development.
