​Muireann Reedy specialises in Regulatory Investigations.

Muireann is an experienced adviser on regulatory investigations. She has acted for a range of clients in investigations by the Central Bank of Ireland under its Administrative Sanctions Procedure and represented them at settlements. She has also advised individuals on the Central Bank of Ireland’s fitness and probity regime, and attended both voluntary and compulsory interviews with clients under that regime, including interviews of individuals who are proposed to perform a pre-approval controlled function.

Before joining Dillon Eustace in 2016, Muireann spent more than five years working in the Central Bank of Ireland’s Enforcement Division, where she was responsible for all aspects of running regulatory investigations under the Central Bank of Ireland’s Administrative Sanctions Procedure. Her experience there included leading regulatory interviews, settling enforcement cases and referring a major case to Inquiry. Muireann has also worked in legal practice as a litigator.

Muireann’s representative transactions include acting for and advising clients:

  • In investigations by the Central Bank of Ireland under its Administrative Sanctions Procedure and representing them at settlements. 
  • On specific interviews with the Central Bank of Ireland concerning the proposed appointment of an individual to perform a pre-approval controlled  function and attending those interviews. 
  • On the fitness and probity regime, including on fitness and probity investigations and on compulsory interviews under that regime. 
  • On the Central Bank of Ireland’s various enforcement powers. 
  • In responding to post-inspection findings by the Central Bank of Ireland.
