His extensive experience covers a wide range of legal and regulatory matters covering the structuring, establishment, amalgamation and regulation of both UCITS and AIFs, as well as advising fund promoters and their service providers on establishing and operating UCITS management companies and AIFMs.
Joe’s representative transactions include advising:
- Irish, EU, UK, US and Australian asset managers on the establishment and authorisation of UCITS and AIFs;
- on the establishment and operation of UCITS management companies and alternative investment fund managers;
- EU (MiFID) and non-EU asset managers seeking clearance from the Central Bank to act as discretionary investment managers to Irish authorised collective investment schemes;
- on mergers, schemes of amalgamation and redomiciliation projects for both UCITS and AIFs; and
- on the fund structures, including funds-of-funds, master-feeders, and the use of subsidiaries/investment vehicles.
