Lorcan Tiernan is a consultant in the Corporate and M&A team. He specialises in Corporate, Mergers and Acquisitions, Corporate Finance, Restructurings, Insolvency and Corporate Recovery and Financial Services.

Lorcan is a member of the International Bar Association, past Co-Chair of the ABA’s International Financial Products and Services Committee, and a Fellow of the ABA. He is a member of the Law Society of Ireland’s Business Law Committee. He is a past-Chairman of the IFIA’s Alternative Investment Committee and a past member of FEFSI’s Hedge Funds Working Group.

He is currently the Law Society of Ireland's nominee as a director of the Irish Takeover Panel.

He established Dillon Eustace's market-leading Hedge Funds Group and advises hedge funds, their managers and directors.

Lorcan has been recommended by a number of leading directories, including Chambers and Partners, IFLR 1000, Legal 500, PLC and Which Lawyer? He lectures at the Law Society of Ireland on company law topics including management buyouts and the Irish Takeover Rules.

  • Advised the shareholders in Acumen & Trust on the sale of their shareholding to Irish Life.
  • Advised the Management Team of Irish Homecare in their private equity backed management buyout of the Group.
  • Advised the shareholders in Superior Storage on the sale of their shareholding to Iron Mountain.
  • A leading private equity fund on the €450m disposal of a portfolio of healthcare businesses.
  • Key Capital on its sale of The Sunday Business Post to Kilcullen Kapital Partners.
  • Jellia Holdings on its sale of three purpose built primary care centres to UK based Primary Health Properties Plc for €38.6 million.
  • Zhongze Culture Investment Holdings Ltd who headed a Chinese consortium on its bid to acquire Goodbody Stockbrokers.
  • Causeway Capital on its private equity backing of the Turmec Teoranta management buyout.
  • Shareholders in the Beechfield Nursing Home Group on their sale to IMMAC.
  • Shareholders in The Travel Department on the significant investment by MML Capital Partners.
  • Briggs Equipment (UK) on its acquisition of Industrial Lift Trucks.
  • The Centric Healthcare Group on the sale of its 50% joint venture interest in the Vhi Swiftcare Clinics to the Vhi.
