Keith Robinson is a partner in the Dillon Eustace Banking and Capital Markets team. Keith advises on a broad range of domestic and international financing transactions including distressed assets, fund finance, real estate finance, acquisition and leveraged finance, international tax based restructurings, structured finance and capital markets transactions. Keith also advises on regulatory matters relating to the provision of finance in Ireland.

Keith has over 20 years experience in advising on a broad range of financing transactions. His role includes advising on, structuring and implementing domestic and international financing transactions including distressed asset acquisitions and disposals, fund finance, real estate finance, acquisition and leveraged finance, international tax based restructurings, structured finance and capital markets transactions.

Keith is a regular participant at finance conferences and contributes to publications regarding the legal and regulatory regime in Ireland regarding the banking sector.

Keith represents a broad range of financial institutions, credit servicing firms, funds, private equity investors and other entities operating in or through Ireland.

He advises on asset disposals by banks and other entities operating in Ireland in connection with their deleveraging and liquidation strategies. Keith regularly advises purchasers and sellers of loan portfolios (primarily secured on Irish commercial and residential property) including active participants in the secondary market. Keith also regularly advices the servicers of loan portfolios in respect of their rights and obligations as regulated entities and as owners of loans.

Keith's experience prior to joining Dillon Eustace includes working in the National Treasury Management Agency banking unit where he advised the Irish government on the recapitalisation of the Irish covered banks and the restructuring of the Irish banking sector generally. He also worked in the United Arab Emirates where he advised the UAE government on the recapitalisation of the local UAE banks (both conventional and Islamic), oil and gas project finance transactions and conventional and Islamic development, leveraged and acquisition finance transactions.

Keith’s representative transactions include:

  • dvising on a warehouse finance and the subsequent securitisation of a large portfolio of non-performing loans.
  • Advising various international funds on the acquisition and disposal of portfolios of non-performing and re-performing loans.
  • Advising The Davy Platform ICAV on over €600m in facilities provided to it in connection with the refinancing of portfolios of social housing units.
  • Advising a multiple international fund structures on in excess of USD 1 billion in various financing transactions provided by a syndicates of international banks.
  • Advising AIB on multiple corporate lending transactions to fund the acquisition of commercial property in Dublin.
  • Advising AIB and borrowers on various development finance facilities provided to fund the development of substantial commercial property, student accommodation developments and mixed use developments.
  • Advising on the structuring and implementation of reorganisations of international corporate groups and the effect on their lending arrangements.
