Derbhil is a specialist adviser to the investment fund industry having practiced in the Cayman Islands and Ireland. She advises hedge funds and private equity funds in establishing, structuring and operating Irish alternative investment and UCITS fund structures. Derbhil is a frequent speaker and contributor to publications on the impacts of on-shore regulation on off-shore jurisdictions.

She is admitted to practice in the Cayman Islands, Ireland, England and Wales, and Northern Ireland.
