Clare advises on all aspects of Commercial Property law including the acquisition, development, property financing and leasing of industrial, office and retail units and greenfield sites.

She has advised bidders and purchasers of loan portfolios on all aspects of property due diligence and property finance. She advises financial institutions and their appointed receivers on the management, leasing and disposal of distressed assets. Clare acts for banks on the property aspects of financing and restructuring transactions.

Clare’s representative transactions include advising:

  • A substantial purchaser on the due diligence, acquisition and property finance of Irish loan book secured on a property portfolio with a nominal value of €675m (Project Kildare).
  • On the disposal of distressed assets – including public houses, hotels, retail and industrial units – on behalf of receivers or where the vendor is selling in its capacity of mortgagee in possession.
  • Dilosk Ireland Limited in its acquisition of the ICS mortgage broker business from Bank of Ireland, including a portfolio of residential mortgages valued at more than €200m.
  • Deutsche Bank on the property aspects in the refinance of the Treasury Building (Project Tempest).
  • OCM Luxembourg on the property aspects of the refinance and loan-on-loan of Airside South Quarter, Airside Retail Park (Project Purple).
