Brian advises asset managers and fund service providers (including administrators and depositaries) on carrying on business in Ireland. He is a specialist in the structuring, establishment and operation of all types of investment funds from UCITS (including ETFs) to alternative investment funds and on the establishment and operation of UCITS management companies and AIFMs.
Brian is currently a member of Irish Fund’s UCITS Product Steering Group and is a former member of Council of Irish Funds and a former Chair of its Legal and Regulatory Working Group. He is a regular contributor to industry journals and frequently speaks at international fund events.
Brian’s representative transactions include advising on the establishment and operation of:
- UCITS umbrella structures – including ETFs, credit funds, long/short funds and other funds which are complex users of derivatives.
- Alternative Investment Funds – including closed ended property and private equity type funds.
- AIFMs and UCITS management companies.
