Aisling advises on legal and regulatory matters covering the structuring, establishment and regulation of all types of investment fund structures, as well as advising on establishing and operating UCITS management companies and AIFMs. ESG related matters is a particular area of focus.
Aisling's extensive experience covers a wide range of legal and regulatory matters covering the structuring, establishment and regulation of all types of mutual funds, UCITS and AIFs, as well as advising on establishing and operating UCITS management companies and AIFMs. Aisling is also a member of Dillon Eustace's internal ESG working group, advising on relevant ESG related legislation and developments impacting the funds industry.
Aisling's clients include privately owned and institutional asset managers representing a wide range of asset classes, as well as proprietary and third party management companies/AIFMs.
Aisling’s representative transactions include:
- Advising asset managers on the establishment and authorisation of UCITS (long-only funds, long/short funds, multi-asset funds, multi-manager funds, funds of accounts and UCITS which are sophisticated users of derivatives) and AIFs.
- Advising on the establishment and operation of UCITS and AIFM management companies.
- Advising European and non-European asset managers seeking Central Bank of Ireland approval to act as discretionary investment manager to Irish authorised funds.
- Advising on the cross-border aspects of UCITS funds marketing and entering both European and non-European markets.
- Advising on mergers of UCITS (both domestic and cross-border).
