New Personal Injures Guidelines Adopted
New guidelines for awards in personal injuries cases have been adopted by the Judicial Council. The guidelines, which will replace the Book of Quantum, are awaiting implementation by the Government before they come into force. Judges will have discretion to deviate from the guidelines, but they will have to provide their reasons for doing so. A complete version of the new guidelines can be read here.
