Dillon Eustace are delighted to sponsor SmithNovak's Global NPL 2021 virtual summit on the Non-Performing Loans market taking place on 5-7 October 2021.

After a global slow-down in transactions and with banks now expected to resolve legacy loans ahead of a spike in Covid-related defaults, this event comes at a time when a new phase of portfolio transactions is anticipated to begin.

This event will take place as a virtual-only event via SmithNovak Conference App allowing attendees to watch the stream, connect with other delegates, chat and have individual instant video meetings.

Dillon Eustace banking partner Keith Robinson will be participating on the second day, the 6th of October, in Block 12 on Ireland at 17:00 (CET ). Below is a list of the topics and areas that will be covered in this block. Keith will be joined by fellow panellists from LCM Partners and Grant Thornton.

6th October: 17:00 CET - Block 12 - Ireland

  • What are the consequences to the market of the two banks exiting?
  • How will their bad loan portfolios be dealt with - will we see jumbo-trades? Will these trigger more transactions?
  • How much progress has been made on the resolution of pre-covid NPLs in Ireland?
  • Are the banks now in a position where they can turn their attention to new bad loans?
  • When will moratoria and other support measures be lifted and what is the likely impact to asset classes including; SMEs, Retail including Mortgages, CRE and Hospitality?
  • How will the Secondary market develop in Ireland?
  • Are we seeing many new Investors entering the market? Is their approach to seeking a return any different from the big Funds?
  • What new developments in Servicing can we expect to see going forward?
  • What resources will the banks keep in-house, what new platforms will be created, will we see any new attempts at M&A?

We look forward to meeting and re-connecting with many business partners, colleagues and companies active in this market and being able to discuss the market and services on offer.
