Dillon Eustace expands team with two new appointments

Dillon Eustace, announces the appointment of Shane Coveney as Partner, to the Firm’s industry-leading Asset Management and Investment Funds team, with Fiona O’Neil joining as Consultant construction law specialist to the Real Estate Practice.

The two appointments are the latest in a series for the Firm which has seen it grow to over 200 employees and 40 Partners in total.

The promotion of Shane Coveney to Partner builds on Dillon Eustace’s Asset Management and Investment Funds’ team leadership position reinforcing it as one of the largest and most experienced teams in Ireland with 16 Partners and 20 lawyers.

With over 10 years’ experience, Shane’s practice focuses on advising on the structure, establishment and ongoing operations of Irish regulated investment funds. He has particular expertise in exchange traded funds, other UCITS and alternative investment funds. Shane’s promotion to Partner builds on the Firm’s position as the largest and most experienced legal adviser to Irish domiciled investment funds. Shane joined Dillon Eustace as an Associate in June 2018 from another leading irish firm, where he spent five years. Prior to that, he worked as in-house legal counsel with large global investment management houses in London for a number of years.

Fiona is a construction law specialist, with over 30 years’ experience. Having worked in property construction and development, Fiona joined Dillon Eustace from another leading Irish firm, where she was a Partner and Head of Construction. Prior to that, Fiona was part of the in-house team at Irish Water, advising on construction and engineering projects, risk mitigation and internal governance. She has also held senior positions and consultant roles with other leading Irish Law Firms.

In Dillon Eustace, Fiona will continue to advise on a wide range of construction projects on behalf of developers, construction professionals, financial institutions and real estate investors, bringing her wealth of construction law experience to these projects.
