Dillon Eustace expands team with three new appointments

Dillon Eustace announces the appointment of three new partners today, across its Corporate and M&A, Tax and Litigation & Dispute Resolution practices strengthening the firm’s offering to its domestic and international clients.

Richard Lacken has been made a partner in the Tax division, Philip Lea is appointed partner in the Corporate and M&A division and Rachel Turner becomes a partner in Litigation and Dispute Resolution. The appointments demonstrate the firm’s ambition at the outset of the 2020 decade, with Dillon Eustace now comprising over 200 employees and 45 partners.

Richard Lacken who previously trained at a big four accounting practice, joined the firm in 2011. An AITI Chartered Tax Adviser, he consults on a wide range of tax matters relating to investment funds, real estate, banking, leasing, distressed debt, revenue interventions, structured finance and securitisation products. The move reinforces Dillon Eustace as market leaders in tax fund solutions, with Richard having a particular expertise in VAT on property transactions and international tax reporting requirements.

Philip Lea joined Dillon Eustace in 2018, from another leading law firm and advises a broad range of domestic and international corporations, private equity funds and financial institutions with significant operations in Ireland. His practice expertise is on mergers and joint ventures, private equity, corporate restructuring, corporate governance and general commercial matters.

Rachel Turner is appointed to the Dillon Eustace 9 partner strong Litigation & Dispute Resolution team. She advises on a broad range of commercial litigation and arbitration cases and has a particular expertise in financial services, professional negligence and insurance. Rachel manages high value claims for Irish and international insurers arising from policy interpretation, avoidance of policies and declinature of claims, especially those relating to financial lines, directors and officers and property policies.
