Dillon Eustace advised Friends First on the acquisition of Citypoint for a reported figure of €22 million, one of Galway city’s largest transactions in recent years.

The five-storey triple basement Eyre Square building is a mixed-use, fully rented development in the centre of Galway city. The property was completed in 2011 and comprises 76,500 sq ft of retail, office and residential space, let to TK Maxx, Galway Health and Fitness and Mathworks, among others.

Commenting on the acquisition, Kelly O’Hara, Partner and Head of Real Estate at Dillon Eustace and deal-lead said:
“Located in the centre of Galway city, the fully-let Citypoint development is considered a prime investment and a strategic addition to Friends First’s asset portfolio. We’re delighted to have supported Friends First in one of the largest property transactions in the West in recent times.”
