Commencement of the Personal Injuries Guidelines
The Judicial Council Act 2019 (Commencement) Order 2021 (the Order) has been published. The Order brings the new Personal Injuries Guidelines (the Guidelines) into operation, effective 24th April 2021, by commencing sections 98 and 99 of the Judicial Council Act 2019, as amended by the Family Leave and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2021.
Accordingly, the Guidelines will apply to all proceedings commenced on or after Monday, 24th April 2021, and to any matters which have been lodged with the Personal Injuries Assessment Board but which have not yet been assessed.
