The Academy hosts training courses, provides latest legal and regulatory briefings and identifies upcoming deadlines relevant to our asset management clients.
The Academy serves as a compliance solution to the requirements of the Individual Accountability Framework or IAF Conduct Standards. In accordance with the Central Bank’s Guidance on the IAF, in-scope regulated financial service providers must provide appropriate training on an ongoing basis to ensure that individuals in control functions are clear on their obligations in respect of the Conduct Standards and specifically what is expected of them in the context of their role. Firms must be able to evidence that individuals have completed the relevant training and maintain up-to-date records in this regard.
In addition, and pursuant to certain Conduct Standards requirements, in-scope individuals should seek to ensure that suitable training is provided to staff of the firm at an appropriate frequency to enable them to fully understand the business (e.g. regulatory, market, industry, business changes), and keep adequately informed and up to date with regard to the evolving regulatory environment in which they operate and that there is clarity regarding how requirements apply to each individual role.
The Academy is also a useful training tool for individuals not necessarily in scope of the above regulatory rules but who may be working for promoters based outside of Ireland with operations or funds domiciled here.
