We advise on all aspects of arbitration under the Arbitration Act 2010, which adopts the UNCITRAL Model Law for arbitrations in Ireland – including international commercial arbitrations.

Conscious of time and cost factors for clients we have resolved many disputes by mediation. Where suitable to a client’s need we will recommend mediation. Our lawyers are experienced in the nuances of successful mediation.

We provide accredited mediation services and are committed to developing best practice in mediation. One of the team’s lead partners is a CEDR accredited mediator.

• Acting for a major international telecommunications company in proceedings before the Commercial Court to enforce an Austrian arbitration award of almost €280m. The application for enforcement of a foreign arbitral award under the Arbitration Act 2010 was the first of its kind in Ireland.
