Payment Institutions and E-Money Firms

Our Financial Services team members are experienced advisers on all aspects of today’s payment and money transmission methods. We advise firms seeking authorisation as payment institutions under the Payments Services regime to provide and execute payment services throughout the EU. These payment services include facilitating deposits and withdrawals from bank accounts, executing direct debits and standing orders, money remittance, and services provided through mobile phones or other digital and IT devices. We also advise e-money and money transmission firms.

We advise on establishment and authorisation issues, on capitalisation and capital adequacy, governance, passporting, interaction with regulators and on general compliance matters.

We offer our financial services clients access to a full range of business law services, including access to expert input from our colleagues in the firm’s Corporate, Tax, Real Estate, Banking and Finance, Employment and Regulatory Investigations teams.
