Solicitor - Commercial and Banking Litigation

Dillon Eustace has a well-established and highly regarded Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice area representing both domestic and international corporations, organisations and individuals. Our clients include some of the leading banks, financial institutions, insurers, product manufacturers, airlines and public companies.

We are currently looking to recruit experienced commercial and banking litigation solicitors. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team where you will work with clients and colleagues of the highest calibre on a diverse range of interesting and challenging litigation work.

Responsibilities will include :

  • Work on a wide range of commercial litigation cases
  • Work in advising liquidators, receivers and examiners
  • Preparation of advices for clients
  • Liaising with expert witnesses
  • Assisting in the running of enforcement cases (judgment and possession)
  • Assisting in the running of cases involving insolvency practitioners
  • Liaising with any relevant third parties including the Courts Service and local agents
  • Attending counsel and court as required
  • Electronic discovery review
  • Keeping clients informed in accordance with agreed service standards
  • Adhering to file review and closure process.

Requirements

Suitable candidates should ideally be able to demonstrate :

  • Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of one year pqe in commercial and/or banking litigation
  • Experience in attending court and attending counsel
  • Experience in advising liquidators, receivers and examiners desirable
  • Experience with large scale discovery desirable
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with an ability to prioritise
  • Ability to make sound and realistic decisions
  • An ability to communicate effectively at all levels with our clients and the litigation team
  • A high level of motivation and an ability to act on one’s own initiative
  • An ability to work effectively as part of a team.
