Legal Executive - Commercial Litigation

  • Collect information for the preparation of legal documents.
  • Analyse, research and summarise legal information
  • Draft and issue correspondence, Summonses, Civil Bills, Motions, Affidavits and other court documents and pleadings.
  • Liaising with relevant third parties including Counsel, the Courts Service, solicitors for defendants etc.
  • Assist in regular reporting to clients.
  • Keep track of relevant developments in the law and practice relevant to enforcement work.
  • Assist in regular billing.
  • Create briefs and books of papers for Court.
  • File & index paperwork.
  • Attend client meetings with supervising Partner/Solicitor.
  • Assist in file reviews.
  • Risk Management - comply with all of the Firm's policies and procedures; support Firm-wide risk management initiatives.
  • Adhere to the file review and closure process and ensure all open and in-active matters are reviewed and closed as appropriate.
  • Carry out such reasonable tasks as may from time to time occur.


  • Suitable candidates must be able to demonstrate:
  • Diploma in Legal Studies.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Legal Executive in enforcement work with experience in judgement and possession proceedings.
  • Strong planning & organisational skills, with an ability to prioritise.
  • Ability to objectively analyse and interpret information from a variety of sources.
  • Ability to make sound and realistic decisions.
  • An ability to communicate effectively at all levels with our clients and the litigation team.
  • A high level of motivation and an ability to act on one’s own initiative.
  • An ability to work effectively as part of a team.
