JOB TITLE: COMPLIANCE EXECUTIVE
REPORTS TO: COMPLIANCE MANAGER
Dillon Eustace LLP has a well-established and highly regarded employment law practice which provides contentious and non-contentious employment advice to our client base which includes some of the leading banks, financial institutions, insurers, professional services firms, product manufacturers, airlines and public companies. Headquartered in Dublin, the Firm has offices in the Cayman Islands, New York and Tokyo.
The Compliance function plays an important role in ensuring that Dillon Eustace is conducting its business in full compliance with all statutory and regulatory standards that apply to the legal sector, including professional conduct standards, accepted business practices and internal standards. The function is crucial in managing risk across all areas of the Firm’s practice (legal, tax, company secretarial), and also for the continuing education of our staff to ensure all practices are implemented so that the highest level of compliance is achieved.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include:
- Providing the on boarding of new clients and matters including carrying out AML CDD and set up on the Case Management system, Document Management System and AML KYC system.
- Updating and maintaining registers including Data Access Request, Data Destruction and Complaints Registers.
- Supporting the Compliance Manager on advising the business in the implementation of any new regulation.
- Supporting the delivery of an Annual Compliance Plan.
- Promoting a robust, transparent compliance and risk culture including assisting with the review and preparation of applicable policies and procedures.
- Assisting with monitoring the applicable regulatory codes, laws and regulations impacting a law firm including AML, Data Protection, Solicitors Regulations, and the Legal Services Regulations Act.
- Completing compliance monitoring reviews and reports.
- Assisting the Compliance Manager in the preparation of Compliance reporting to senior management including contribution to committee reports to ensure senior management are up to date and aware of key compliance issues and actions required.
Requirements
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following :
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a law firm in a Legal Executive or in-house Compliance role (preferable).
- A certified Compliance Officer (LCI) who has achieved The Professional Diploma of Compliance from the Institute of Bankers/Compliance Institute or equivalent from an accredited institution or is engaged in LCI and progressing to completion.
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly when reviewing and interpreting legislative/regulatory requirements.
- Strong planning and organisational skills with an ability to prioritise and to work with minimum supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A high level of motivation and an ability to act on initiative.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
