Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is an integral part of our culture – it is about running our business in a responsible and sustainable manner and having a positive impact on our community and society

CSR is part of our culture in treating our staff and clients well, ensuring our suppliers conduct their business in an ethical manner, being environmentally friendly and working to improve our relations in the local community.

We recognise the importance of CSR and our commitment to CSR is part of our Firm’s values and helps guide our decision-making processes.

We aim to align our objectives and efforts with Ireland’s National Plan on Corporate Social Responsibility 2017- 2020 and with the global objectives of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), under the following four pillars:

  1. The Community;

  2. The Environment;

  3. The Marketplace;

  4. The Workplace (principally, Wellbeing and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion).

Our dedicated CSR committee oversees delivery of our programme and activities both internally and externally, and our people actively drive volunteering initiatives.

Our objective is for CSR to be embedded in all of our business operations, to be treated by the Firm as a business priority and to have an engaged CSR committee and guiding staff in taking ownership of the area. We want to be an integral part of sustainable development and to continue to reduce our carbon footprint. We will continue work together across the Firm to identify and implement innovative solutions and projects that address our CSR objectives.

Partnering with Charities

Our CSR committee oversees community engagement initiatives, partnerships with local organisations, charities and volunteer programmes to address community needs. We also support education projects to make a positive impact on society and foster sustainable development.

In 2023 and 2024, we partnered with two Irish charities, Focus Ireland and the Irish Cancer Society, with a view to having a meaningful impact and engagement with these partners.

Ecology initiatives

The Firm has organised a number of recent ecology initiatives and partnered with organisations such as the Green Team Network and Flossie the Beach cleaners.  These activities promote environmental and sustainability awareness with staff.  Recent events include:

  • the Green Team Network’s National Clean up initiatives;

  • the Funds Industry Climate Challenge;

  • Flossie and the Beach Cleaners beach cleanup.

Environment

We are committed to the environmental sustainability of our business and have engaged a third party sustainability consultancy, to assist our carbon footprint measurement and reduction strategy in line with international guidelines ISO 14064, PAS 2060, and the GHG Protocol.
