CSR Committee
Dillon Eustace have in the past year formalised its CSR activities which are championed internally by our CSR Committee. The purpose of the CSR Committee is to drive corporate responsibility and sustainability practices both internally and externally. As part of this, Dillon Eustace have chosen to partner with two Irish charities for 2023 with a view to having a meaningful impact and engagement with these partners. The two charity partners are Focus Ireland and the Irish Cancer Society.
Focus Ireland

The Irish Cancer Society
The Irish Cancer Society are seeking to transform the experiences and outcomes of people affected by cancer through their advocacy, support services and research. As part of this, the Irish Cancer Society listen to patients and their loved ones, support them by providing free information and care. The Irish Cancer Society fund cancer research to find better treatments that will save more lives and they work to keep cancer on the Government’s agenda, to make sure the Irish healthcare system functions as well as possible to help cancer patients and their loved ones through their diagnosis. Daffodil Day 2023
To initiate its partnership with the Irish Cancer Society, Dillon Eustace staff volunteered as part of Daffodil Day on 24 March, 2023 to help raise donations from the public. The Irish Cancer Society use Daffodil Day to fund its vital free services such as drives to and from cancer treatment, the Freephone Support Line and Daffodil Centres staffed by experienced cancer nurses, the Night Nursing service providing end of life care and counselling for anyone affected by cancer. Donations from the public also provide funding for state-of-the-art cancer research and life-saving cancer trials.
Funds Industry Climate Challenge
Over the course of April, 2023 Dillon Eustace were involved in an industry-wide Climate Challenge which saw some healthy internal competition among the departments. The Climate Challenge was run by the Green Team Network in conjunction with Global Action Plan Ireland for two weeks from Monday 17 April, 2023 to Friday 28 April, 2023. The Climate Challenge was intended to create awareness, engage participants on their own environmental impact and guide action towards reducing individual carbon footprints. This year the fifth-floor internal team made up of the Real Estate and Property Department were crowned the winners of Dillon Eustace.
The Rogers Recruitment Calcutta Tag 2023
On the 6 May, 2023 Dillon Eustace staff took part in the Calcutta Tag Rugby event in aid of The Hope Foundation and Peter McVerry Trust. Dillon Eustace will be taking part in the Calcutta golf Classic on the 19 May, 2023 and the Calcutta Run on the 27 May, 2023. Match Report
The annual Calcutta Tag Rugby tournament took place over the weekend with two teams from Dillon Eustace featuring this year. The ‘NQ “n up” team made light work of their group coming through with two wins and only a dubious last minute try against McCann’s finest stopping them coming out with a 100% record. Notable contributions came from DE’s top scorer for the day (Sophie Moore), Joe O’Doherty as the top enforcer/tackle bag for female DLA trainees and Brian Dillon showing why he’s partner with some beautiful passes and footwork.
Meanwhile the Trainee’s in Group 3 managed to squeeze through to a last 16 DE decider on points difference with an up and down few games including no less than two 1 point losses! With that the biggest match of the day took place with the talented youth succumbing to experience on this occasion by the slimmest of margins. A few friendly elbows and collisions later and once the dust settled we headed back to Blackhall for a quarter final featuring the NQs ‘n up and the always willing trainees subbing on.
Alas the last DE team standing continued their unbeaten run but fell on a final technicality after a 6-6 draw with the runners up for the day (Matheson). Having scored less tries in the game DE bowed out having still not met their betters on the day. Some sunscreen, burgers and pints followed with some great matches played for a great cause and almost no injuries for the day… what more could you ask for!
Focus Ireland’s Carrauntoohil Hike
On the 8 July, 2023 Dillon Eustace are taking part in Focus Ireland’s Carrauntoohil Hike with a number of staff raising monies and volunteering to participate. Carrauntoohil is Ireland’s highest peak at a lofty 1039 metres. The hike is part of Focus Ireland’s “On the move” series of fitness and adventure challenges taking place across the country to raise funds to support homeless services for Focus Ireland.
