Conor Keaveny specialises in Banking and Finance, Capital Markets, Aviation and Asset Finance.

Conor has acted on a wide range of banking and finance transactions for domestic and international financial and corporate institutions. His funding structures experience includes bi-lateral, club and syndicated deals. He has advised extensively on multi-jurisdictional note issuances and on tax-based financings, fund financings, asset financings (including aircraft) and leasing.

Conor has extensive experience of reviewing and advising on non-performing loan portfolios and has acted for purchasers, sellers and financiers of these assets. He advises on banking regulatory issues and has particular experience of the issues arising from the EU’s financial sanctions regime.

Conor has completed secondments to two leading banks and an internationally-renowned aircraft leasing company. He lectures on commercial lending issues at the Law Society of Ireland.

Conor's representative transactions include advising:

  • Allied Irish Banks, p.l.c. on their award winning deal (Deals of the Year 2021, Finance Dublin) financing the acquisition of the CRS Refrigeration / CRS Mobile Cold Storage group and facilitating a management buy-in by a private equity firm.
  • Deutsche Bank on its financing of the management buyout of Seniors Money and the subsequent securitisation of Seniors Money’s portfolio of equity release mortgages.
  • Centric Health on €50 million long term financing from Ulster Bank and Bain Capital.
  • A leading US based global asset manager on its acquisition and financing of an interest in an amount in excess of $100 million in a multi-jurisdictional syndicated loan.
  • Perrigo Company on the financing of its $8.6 billion acquisition of Elan Corporation.
  • A leading US based SEC-registered investment advisor and private credit firm on its acquisition and financing of a portfolio of aircraft engines.
  • Goldman Sachs Bank USA on its financing of Concordia Healthcare’s $3.5 billion acquisition of Amdipharm Mercury.
  • DFC Finance Corp. on its issuance of $800 million of Senior Secured Notes and the subsequent exchange offer for USD 800m of Senior Secured PIK Toggle Notes.
  • Dilosk Limited on its acquisition of more than €200 million of performing mortgages, originated by ICS Building Society, from Bank of Ireland.
  • The National Asset Management Agency (NAMA) on the sale of various loan portfolios, including Projects Arch, Emerald/Ruby and Gem.
  • Allied Irish Banks, p.l.c. on numerous secured financing transactions – restructurings and new money lending – in a range of sectors, including maritime, hotel, leisure and residential development.
  • A leading Russian financial institution on the impact of the EU’s financial sanctions regime.
  • A leading Irish agri-business on its trade financing arrangements.
