PROFILE: Rachel joined Dillon Eustace as a trainee in 2007 and qualified as a solicitor in 2009. In her current role within the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department, she undertakes a broad range of commercial litigation and arbitration, including in the areas of financial services, professional negligence and insurance.

Rachel manages high value claims for both Irish and International insurers arising from policy interpretation, avoidance of policies and declinature of claims, in particular, relating to financial lines policies and Directors’ and Officers’ claims. She also manages, on behalf of insurers, a significant number of professional negligence cases, concerning accountants, solicitors, insurance brokers, stockbrokers and architects, and advises parties on complaints brought before the Financial Services Ombudsman.

  • Advising insurers on policy construction, and in particular, in relation to Directors’ and Officers’ Insurance and Financial Sector Insurance.

  • Advising in relation to large disclosure projects, including in commercial litigation and in investigations.
  • Acted for an International Airline company in multi-million dispute involving Mareva Injunction
