PROFILE: David has practiced in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution department since 2004. He has been a partner in that department since 2011. He has represented clients in a wide range of litigation including, product liability claims, landlord and tenant disputes and contract disputes. David has particular expertise in defamation and media law, advising a daily national newspaper for a decade in relation to defamation, privacy, contempt and pre-publication issues. David also has specialist knowledge in transport, maritime and admiralty law and has chaired and spoken at the Comité Maritime International Symposium 2013 and at the International Air Transport Association Cargo Claims and Loss Prevention Conference 2013. He is the treasurer and executive committee member of the Irish Maritime Law Association. He is a member of the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association.  David is also admitted to practice in England and Wales.

  • Advising a shipping company in relation to contesting the arrest of a ship.
  • Advising a company and its insurer in relation to flood damage arising from a product liability claim.
