PROFILE: Breeda joined the Regulatory and Compliance Department of Dillon Eustace in 2007. Prior to joining Dillon Eustace, Breeda was the Head of Compliance for one of the largest insurance brokers in Ireland, where she was involved in putting compliance structures in place to meet the international head office requirements. She also has several years internal audit experience in the retail insurance sector having worked for a number of years in one of the largest life companies in Ireland. During her time with this life company she set up the Compliance function for one of its subsidiaries which provides third party administration services to insurance companies.

Breeda is a Chartered Accountant and during her time in practice she was involved in audits of banks, stockbrokers, manufacturing and distribution companies as well as assisting the Corporate Finance Department in conducting due diligence work for proposed mergers.

REPRESENTATIVE ACTIONS:

• Advises a large insurance broker and pension consultant in revamping its compliance function.
• Advises insurance companies and investment business firms who wish to establish businesses in Ireland and assisting them in the authorisation process.
• Assistes asset managers, investment managers, insurance companies in interpreting the MiFID regulations and Insurance Regulations.
